Intermediate Level Whitewater Rafting
Fully Guided Tours
We guide you to the fun features and keep you off the rocks.
Lower Yough Fully Guided whitewater rafting trips are perfect for inexperienced rafters, minors and timid folks looking for adventure. Many experienced rafters prefer having a guide in the boat too. Our expert OTP guide teaches you paddle techniques, calls out the strokes and steers the raft. The guides spread out a deli style lunch and are there to share their knowledge and love of the river. You also learn a little about the natural history and local stories of the area while navigating the best lines through the rapids.

What will my day be like?
The trip takes 3-5 hours (depending on water levels). A deli-style lunch will be provided. Please let us know ahead of time if you have special dietary needs. We recommend that if you are a beginner rafter, under 18, or timid, that you take this fully guided trip. Even experienced rafters appreciate a guide's skill and boat handling abilities. If you need more of a thrill after this you should check out the Upper Yough.
The Express Trip (8:00 and 2:00 Fully Guided tour) takes 2-3 hours depending on water levels. Lunch is not served on this trip to make it a quicker trip down the river.
Who are my guides?
Our Guide Staff members are whitewater athletes. We employ and train some of the best staff the industry has to offer. Our dedication to safety is paramount. Ohiopyle Trading Post staff members are highly trained in swiftwater rescue, rope skills, first aid, CPR, river etiquette, kayaking, rafting and team work. Although styled runs through the rapids hitting every wave is our goal, "Out of Boat Experiences" do occur. That is when you get to see our rescue skills in action. Meet our guides.
